Getting Organized: Leadership

The resources included in this module were developed through a combination of the deliberations of the eHealth Initiative Foundation’s several working groups and advisory boards, the organization’s experience working with several states and over 200 regional and community-based collaboratives focused on health information exchange, eHI’s August 2005-2007 surveys of state, regional and community-based health information exchange initiatives and organizations, eHI position statements reviewed and vetted within its membership, experience and expertise of eHI staff, and individual  interviews performed with leaders in health information exchange.

Many of the most recent resources and strategies were derived from the eHealth Initiative Blueprint: Building Consensus for Common Action which was developed by eHealth Initiative’s Leadership Council, led by eHealth Initiative President, John Tooker, MD, MBA, FACP and eHealth Initiative Foundation President, Jeffrey Kang, MD, MPH, with executive leadership support by eHealth Initiative and Foundation Chief Executive Officer Janet Marchibroda, provided strategic oversight and guidance to the entire effort.
