Tools

There are four tools in the Value and Sustainability Model^SM (VSM)
You will need business expertise and commensurate skills in order to assess value and develop a sustainable model for health information exchange. A manual for the tools is provided, however eHI is available to answer any questions you may have about the tool. The tools require Microsoft Excel 2003 or greater.

		1. Market Readiness Assessment Tool (MRAT) - Version 2.0 Are you ready for health information exchange? Is your community? This tool will help you evaluate your readiness; whether you're ready to launch or need to build social capital.
		2. Risk Adjusted Discount Rate Tool (RADR) Determine the risk adjusted discount rate for a regional health information organization (RHIO) or HIE in your community. It can be used for risk mitigation, market assessment, policy making, and more.
		3. HIE Business Value Tool An HIE network creates value. This tool helps you estimate what value it creates in your community, not just for you, but for all the stakeholders effected within your HIE marketplace.
		4. Financial Pro Forma Tool Provides the ability to create a complete set of financial statements so you can make better financial and economic decisions on the road to the goal: long-term HIE sustainability.
