Mr. Mahoney has extensive experience in the areas of strategic planning, marketing, and financing for healthcare institutions. In addition, he has lectured on subjects such as managed care, capitation, integrated provider networks, computer-based patient record systems, and regional healthcare alliances. Prior to joining MedPlus, Inc., Mr. Mahoney was president of a company that provided equipment financing for hospitals and related organizations.  MedPlus was acquired by Quest Diagnostics in November 2001.

Mr. Mahoney is a member of the Leadership Circle for the Cincinnati Chapter of the United Way.  He is also a Special Advisor to the Miami (Ohio) University School of Entrepreneurship.  Mr. Mahoney was also the Founder & Chairman of an Inc 500 company - one of the fastest growing companies in the US.

Mr. Mahoney has an impressive history including president, Commercial Capital Corporation, Vice President, Franchising and Business development, Sisters Chicken and Biscuits; Vice President, Kidder Peabody; Director, Merrill Lynch.

Mr. Mahoney received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Cleveland State University.
