David R. Pfeil is currently the Vice President of Informatics and Healthcare Technology with Laboratory Corporation of America.  David has more than 26 years of healthcare technology experience, having founded, developed and sold three HIT companies.  During the course of his healthcare software enterprises, David has been the COO of a division of Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina, the COO of a publicly traded e-prescribing firm, and the Vice President of Global Business Solutions for Quest Diagnostics.  He has authored several HIPAA training and implementation manuals. David holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University and an MS in Thermal Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.  David may be contacted by email at pfeild@labcorp.com.
