eHealth Initiative Announces 2012 Board of Directors

January 5, 2012, Washington, D.C. – The eHealth Initiative (eHI) announced the industry leaders nominated for the 2012 Board of Directors, which will be led by the new Chair Micky Tripathi, PhD, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative along with Vice Chair Daniel T. Garrett, principal and Health Industry IT (HIT) practice leader, PwC.

The new Board members will be approved at eHI's Annual Member Meeting and Conference, taking place in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 11-12, 2011.

"We are proud to have such stellar experts from across the healthcare industry joining our board in 2012. Our strategic focus in 2012 is very practical, focusing on eHealth solutions that are available right now for doctors and patients suffering from chronic diseases. With their guidance and leadership, we can have a tremendous impact," said Jennifer Covich Bordenick, Chief Executive Officer of the eHealth Initiative.

Other members of the Board's Executive Committee include Steven Stack, MD, Member, Board of Trustees, American Medical Association; and Treasurer Jack Lewin, MD, Chief Executive Officer, American College of Cardiology.

Because of its strong ties with members, eHI is uniquely poised to continue to inspire innovation, support the development of health information technology, and help make the US a healthier nation," said incoming board chair and longtime member Micky Tripathi.
