December 13, 2010, Washington, D.C. – Dr. David Blumenthal, the National Coordinator for Health IT, will keynote the eHealth Initiative’s annual conference on Jan. 19-20, 2011 in Washington, D.C.
ABC Congressional Correspondent Cokie Roberts and eHealth Initiative CEO Jennifer Covich Bordenick join Blumenthal as announced keynote speakers.
The conference, “eHealth: Turning Policy Into Action”, brings together the country’s most influential policymakers, medical experts, and information technology providers to help attendees understand how health information technology is improving the quality, safety and efficiency of health care.
Key topics to be covered at the January conference include health IT’s role in health care reform, Meaningful Use, Accountable Care Organizations and care coordination, health IT at the state level, and the use of data to support quality improvement in health care.
The annual eHealth Initiative Awards will be also announced at the conference, honoring both individuals and organizations from across the country that, through the use of health IT, had a demonstrable impact in 2010 on the health of Americans.
