Charles W. Jarvis FACHE is vice president for Health Reform and Government Initiatives at NextGen Healthcare, Horsham Pennsylvania. He has had this role since January 2005. Mr. Jarvis' responsibilities entail community and partnership development, support of the company's payer initiatives, and oversight of the company's grants and client funding assistance program. He is also responsible for internal and external education on the evolution of the healthcare industry with a focus on healthcare information technology (HIT), government stimulus and health reform. Mr. Jarvis is active in the Electronic Health Record Association (EHRA) currently serving as vice chairperson of the organization's Executive Committee.. He also serves on the Policy Development Committee of the e-Health Initiative, Washington DC. Prior to joining NextGen, Mr. Jarvis was in hospital and physician group practice management.

Mr. Jarvis hold a Masters Degree in Business with a concentration in Health Administration from Temple University and a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives and holds the American Medical Informatics Association Certification for HIT. He has authored and co-authored several articles on the business development of HIT in the United States and is currently featured in a chapter in the recent book Paper Kills 2.

Mr. Jarvis is married and is the father of four children.
