Regan Minners - Biography |

Regan Minners serves as Managing Director, Diabetes Prevention, Youth, and New Patient Programs for the American Diabetes Association. In this capacity she leads the Association's nationwide prevention platform, working to help prevent type 2 diabetes and prediabetes; manages youth programs for children and adolescents with and at risk for diabetes, including the Association's robust nationwide day and resident camping program, and leads Association outreach to those newly diagnosed with diabetes. Ms. Minners also serves as point person for scientific & medical collaborations, including the Preventive Health Partnership, the Association's partnership with the American Heart Association and American Cancer Society.
Ms. Minners has been with the Association since 1999 and has held roles as youth programs manager, director of cardiometabolic risk initiatives, and directing prevention programs. She also works extensively in health literacy and numeracy and clear language and design.
Prior to joining the Association, Ms. Minners worked in international social marketing, primarily for HIV/AIDS prevention, and in outdoor and environmental education for school-aged children. Ms. Minners holds a degree in secondary education and English composition from DePauw University and has completed graduate work in environmental sciences.
