Dr. Chris Hobson is Chief Medical Officer for Orion Health. In this role, his key responsibility is to demonstrate and drive Orion Health's strong commitment to end users - in particular to all clinicians using Orion Health technology to benefit patients in their day to day work. Dr. Hobson has more than 20 years experience in the area of chronic disease prevention and management including over 16 years of clinical experience as a practicing physician as both a hospitalist and primary care physician. Dr. Hobson's interests are in the areas of health information exchange, disease management, and addressing patient safety implications of health information technology. He combines this with a lifelong passion for and experience in improving healthcare system performance. He has an extensive track record of successful projects for more than a decade across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific regions and is generally acknowledged as a global expert in the use of Information Technology to achieve strategic healthcare business goals.
