Chris Boone is the Director of Outpatient Quality and Health IT for AHA. He is responsible for the oversight and direction of outpatient quality and health IT initiatives, and the oversight of The Guideline Advantage in partnership with ADA and ACS.

Chris comes from a healthcare provider and consulting background. Previously, Chris worked as a Business Relationship Manager for Cook Children’s Health Care System, where he was responsible for providing strategic direction around certain technologies, such as electronic health records (inpatient and ambulatory), RTLS, and other administrative and clinical systems. Additionally, he worked as a management consultant for Deloitte Consulting LLP and launched the health IT consulting practice for a Dallas-based technology company. Other former employers include: Texas Health Resources and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

Chris is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), a certified professional of healthcare information and management systems (CPHIMS) and a project management professional (PMP). He received a BSBA in Management Information Systems at the University of Tulsa, MHA from UT-Arlington, and is currently a doctoral candidate at UT-Dallas.
