Thomas M. Fritz brings management and policy expertise to Inland Northwest Health Services (INHS). As Chief Executive Officer of INHS, Tom administers a 102 bed freestanding physical rehabilitation and medicine hospital; an ever-growing, comprehensive integrated hospital information technology system that manages more than 35,000 users in hospitals, clinics and physicians offices and over 2.6 million electronic medical records; a multi-state critical care air ambulance service; and a wide-spread network of more than 100 telemedicine units throughout the Northwest.
Tom's more than 25 years of experience working in direct patient care as well as government, non-profit and for-profit health care systems provides the depth and breadth of knowledge to lead the wide variety of services provided by INHS. He has a proven track record of developing and improving financial and regulatory stability of freestanding and government-based health care facilities through innovative thinking and his ability to bring multiple parties together to create solutions.
Tom is actively involved in public policy. His role with INHS provides a broad viewpoint and perspective into how policies impact a variety of health care services, and his experience working with government officials provides insight into how public policy shapes the future of the health care industry.
A member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Tom was appointed to serve on the board of trustees for the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT), an independent, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to create an efficient, credible and sustainable product certification program. Tom is also a member of the Board of Directors for the National Alliance of Health Information Technology, the National Advisory Board for the eHealth Initiative Foundation's Connecting Communities for Drug Safety Collaboration and is an appointed member to the WA State Health Information Infrastructure Advisory Board addressing state-wide health information exchange. He is the immediate past chairperson of the American Hospital Association Governing Council Section for Rehabilitation, Long-Term Care & Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals.
Tom has served on a number of community Boards and he is currently the past chairperson of the Spokane Workforce Development Council; the vice-chair of the Greater Spokane Incorporated. He serves in advisory capacities to Washington State University and Whitworth University.
Tomholds a BA and MA degrees from California State University and a MPA from Lewis & Clark University, Portland, Oregon.
